For international medical graduates wanting to practice in Australia, the standard pathway requires:
CAT MCQ Exam: A 3.5-hour, computer-adaptive test with 150 multiple-choice questions testing general medical knowledge. The authorization fee is AUD $2,920. Scored from 0 to 500, a score of 250 passes.
Clinical Exam: An in-person or online practical test assessing hands-on clinical and communication skills with simulated patients. Fees are $3,000 for in-person or $3,400 for online.
