Health tips for the holidays

Here are my health tips for the holidays:

  1. If you are feeling down, try to get out – even just to catch a movie, or to have some coffee in a local place. It is the holiday season which means many will be meeting with family and friends. But if you are not fortunate enough to have this opportunity, try to get out and be with others who are having a good time. Go to a club, bar, or gathering – and join in with the festivities. And if you know someone who will be alone this holiday season, contact them, and invite them out – it will make a big difference.
  2. Allow yourself to do nothing. All year we spend our time working and trying to meet others’ expectations. During this holiday season, please allow yourself some time to do absolutely nothing. Sleep all day, watch an entire season of a TV series in one session, eat a whole box of cookies… Relax – and don’t feel bad about it.
